Trae

Let  me start of with my first Grandson- August 19, 2010 the world said hello to a tiny, wrinkly big eye little boy nicknamed Trae and it was the outmost amazing life experience anyone can ever go through.  I know everyone says that you love your Grandchildren more then your own kids, but it is not necessarily that you love them more is just that you are older, wiser, have had your world of pain, have experienced heartbreaks, failures and are now ready for that special love that NO one can take away.  So the love and bond you have with that special little face, tiny hands, tiny feet, and enormous heart is so different and fantastic that no matter what you are going through or go through from there on, spending those magical moments with that little angel makes it all better.

One of the things that coincided with my Grandma life is that I also became a traveler which I credit to the birth of Trae.  I wanted to experience the world, to show him and my other grandbabies all that life has to offer.  Thank God, he has given me the opportunity to do that and hopefully continue to do so along with them.

The reason traveling and Trae’s birth coincided was because when Trae was born, my son, JC was away at the Border Patrol Academy in Ruidoso, New Mexico and unfortunately was not able to attend the birth.  A month after Trae was born, he graduated from the Academy, so Amy, (my daughter-in-law), Julio (my middle child), Trae and myself drove to his graduation ceremony in Ruidoso, New Mexico and my traveling experiences took off after that.

Ruidoso, New Mexico is a tiny town up on the mountain pines of Southern New Mexico, with lots of beautiful scenery, acres of wilderness and national forest.  I wouldn’t particularly like it to make it my hometown but I loved it as a vacation place and I am hoping to visit again soon.

I want to share with you my experiences as a Grandma and as a traveler.  All my fears, joys, adventures, and happy moments that make my life worth!
